Liquid Kaleidoscope — Oversized T-Shirt

A kaleidoscope does not need an endless supply of new images. A few coloured fragments, a set of mirrors and the smallest turn of the hand are enough. The same material keeps returning in arrangements that did not exist a second earlier.

Liquid Kaleidoscope begins there, then refuses to leave its geometry alone. Symmetry appears, holds for a moment and starts to melt. Layers of colour look as if they were poured into an optical machine that softened while it was working. The eye searches for a centre, but the image offers a different one each time.

The oversized cut gives that instability room to breathe. Blue is at its densest across the shoulders; down the chest, the image gradually dissolves until only white remains. It is not a print trapped inside a rectangle, but a transition that shifts with every fold. The motif stays the same, yet the T-shirt never quite does. Every angle assembles another version of the image.

Care

Machine wash cold with similar colours. Do not bleach or dry-clean. Line dry. If ironing is needed, use a maximum sole-plate temperature of 110 °C without steam.

Minor differences in colour and exact print placement may occur between the screen mockup and the finished product.
